Able Works welcomes Stephanie Noriega, MSW, as Director of LiveAble

Able Works is excited to announce that Stephanie Noriega, MSW, has joined our team as Director of LiveAble. An East Palo Alto native, Stephanie earned her MSW in Children and Family Services from the University of Southern California with a desire to serve her community.

Prior to joining Able, Stephanie provided support for unaccompanied immigrant youth and their families within the Oakland Unified School District to ensure a successful transition. Stephanie has also worked at organizations such as Davis Street Family Resource Center and La Familia Counseling Service, where she gained experience working with under-resourced families and youth. Stephanie will be working with Blanca and Yesenia to launch three LiveAble cohorts this month to serve families in East Palo Alto, Belle Haven, North Fair Oaks and other communities. Stephanie says, “I am most excited about getting to know our families and growing LiveAble to better serve women and children in the Silicon Valley.”

Welcome to the team, Stephanie!

Matching challenge update

Thanks to your generosity, we not only met our matching challenge, but exceeded it! We raised over $53,000 in total to support our life skills, financial education and peer support programs for youth and young families.

You are a critical partner in our work. Without you, we would not be able to achieve our mission. We cannot thank you enough!
