The staff and board set an outrageous goal of raising 70% of our budget by the end of January. Why? To extend the runway and launch programs with confidence. With your help, we’ve succeeded! We are so grateful for your support.

Most people ease into jobs, but not Priscilla. She is a go-getter. In fact, her goal was to have 15 women for cohort #4 and she already has exceeded her goal. We currently have 17 women, 20 children and a waiting list of more women who want to join!

Priscilla is a snapshot of the future of our LiveAble program. As a graduate of our first cohort, she understands the direct impact this program has in the lives of female head of households. Her life is better today because she was in a cohort, and she is committed to replicating and improving the program for the benefit of others.

Priscilla and the 17 women in our cohort will need your continued support. Please consider supporting these women throughout their year-long journey by volunteering to bring meals, donate your time to mentor a woman, or by giving a financial contribution.

Each Spring and Summer, FutureProfits takes students to local Bay Area businesses to inspire students to dream big. These “FutureProfits Labs” expose students to professional working environments, and remind them that working hard in school has a direct correlation to their future employment options. In the past, our students have visited companies such as Facebook, Jones Day, New Relic, and Woodruff-Sawyer & Co.

Our groups vary in number from 20-40 students, 2-3 FutureProfits volunteers and an Able Works staff member. This year we are reaching out to see if we can offer more lab opportunities at companies across Silicon Valley. If you think your business would be interested in hosting, please contact us here.
