Our Staff Has Grown

Able Works is looking forward to 2016 with great anticipation. Both our LiveAble and FutureProfits programs are expected to reach new heights this year. FutureProfits will expand to include more classes and volunteers throughout the Silicon Valley. Our LiveAble program will now serve more women through four new cohorts and a young couples cohort pilot in Redwood City. We look forward to keeping you up-to-date throughout the year on all the exciting news. LiveAble Coach
Priscilla is a long-time Bay Area resident, currently residing in Redwood City with her daughter. Before working at Able Works, Priscilla worked for the Redwood City School District as an instructional aide. She also led summer programs for Redwood City youth. She is passionate about making a positive change in low-income, minority communities and enjoys helping families and interacting with children. Priscilla is our first coach who was also a program participant. We are so excited to have her on our team.

LiveAble Coaches
Yovani moved to the United States at age 20 and launched a tile business. During this time, Yovani co-founded and co-pastored two Spanish-speaking churches in the San Francisco Bay Area. After 17 years of church leadership, Yovani joined ReWire, a leadership development organization focused on transforming churches from the inside out by equipping members to impact their community, foster missional spiritual formation, and develop a sense of calling.

Aggie was born in Mexico and moved to the Bay Area when she was 13 years old. After overcoming a difficult childhood, she quit school in order to work support her family. Aggie’s journey highlighted the need for positive people in her life to succeed. Aggie’s passion is helping young families grow to the point of serving the Spanish-speaking communities in the Bay Area.

As a couple, Aggie and Yovani have helped many struggling couples overcome obstacles and create better lives for themselves and their families. Yovani and Aggie have been married for 26 years. They have two married children and two grandchildren with more on the way.

Communications & Development Manager
Kirsten is one of those weird people who loves administrative and organizational tasks. She thrives on checking off to-do lists, organizing spreadsheets and telling stories. She is passionate about issues of injustice affecting women and children. Kirsten attended Azusa Pacific University and graduated in 2005 with a double major in Interpersonal and Organization Communications and Christian Ministries. In her free time, Kirsten enjoys building websites, playing with her two guinea pigs and attending art shows with her husband.
