LiveAble brings economic self-sufficiency to young families, moving them from surviving to thriving by building community, fostering stability and cultivating ability.

Program Overview

LiveAble applies a unique and proven approach to bringing economic self-sufficiency to female, head of households ages 18-30. We help them move from merely surviving to thriving.

The individuals who participate in this program are highly motivated to create a better life for themselves, their children and their community. The program provides a cohort experience for peers to move forward together in a healthy, positive and encouraging environment. Program participants benefit from coaching, credit counseling, goal setting, education and career planning, jobs and other needs resources-all with respect and sensitivity to their culture.

Our Theory of Change

We believe that in order to maximize economic growth, individuals must make progress in the following six areas concurrently: family wellness, personal well-being, education and training, financial management, employment and career management, and parenting.

What is covered over 12 months?

  • Family wellness
  • Personal well-being
  • Financial management
  • Education and training
  • Employment and career management
  • Parenting

What is a cohort?

The cohort model helps participants develop through group interaction. They develop their own voice, learn to think critically in a safe environment and actively engage the learning process.
